This is Zoey now...all grown up:) She's a beautiful, unique girl. She has wonderful black and white fur that is spotted and then mixed together in places. Lilly has always called her the "polky-dot" dog! She's pretty short, and a little long. Sort of reminiscent of a Corgi build...or a pot-bellied pig when she eats too much!Just like Lola, I am having to go through the heart-breaking process of finding our Zoey a new, loving home. I've moved from 5 acres to less than 1/2 an acre...and it would be cruel to my furry crew to cram 4 dogs in that small of a space. Also, being a single mom of 3 little ones, it's hard now to give them the time and attention they deserve.
Zoey has been on 4 acres with an underground fence. She's done very well with that set up. She is a healthy girl, and has been spayed and kept up to date on all vaccinations. She is a loving, sweet girl. She is shy around new people, and it does take her some time to warm up. When she's shy, she just avoids the new person and gets about 5 feet from you to check you out. But give her some time and she'll be putty in your hands. She loves attention...and LOVES children! Zoey absolutely HAS to go to a home with another dog/dogs there. She has been Lola's "side-kick". She's literally her little shadow. She follows her everywhere...and if you see Lola trying to catch a nap, you also usually see Zoey jumping around her and aggravating her trying to get her to wake up and play. It's pretty comical to watch! She would likely get on the nerves of an elderly dog, so that wouldn't be good:) Since Zoey has been "older" (she's 2 1/2) she's been an outside dog, so if you are looking for an inside dog you'd need to do some house training. She IS crate trained, because I put them in crates in their big doghouse (their shed) with the heater on at night. Since she's crate trained already the house training would likely go pretty smooth.
These are very hard circumstances to be in, and it is an emotional rollercoaster for me having to do this. I want Lola and Zoey both to go to wonderful homes, where they will receive the love they deserve. The love they are used to getting. Please help me find Zoey a wonderful home. Pass on my blog address to friends/family that may be interested in adding a furry child to their family:)

She is a beautiful dog! Where are you located? We are looking for a friend for our 1 year old Shepard/Lab mix. He's very gentle and great with our 2 kids (3 and 4 years old). If you are anywhere us, we'd love to meet her! (were in California...)
